He was an singer-songwriter & a pioneer of rock n roll. Although his success lasted only 1 1/2 yrs before his death in an plane crash on 2/3/59, Holly is described as "the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll." His works inspired the Beatles, Elvis Costello, the Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan, and exerted a profound influence on popular music.

Buddy Holly & The Crickets

The first true legendary band in rock history, in my opinion. Tragically taken away from us far too early. Holly and his band inspired so many of the next generation of rock legends including The Beatles, who named their own band in honor of the Crickets.

Elvis Presley is one of the best Rock n Roll artists of the 1950's

These are just a few of his songs from the 50's: "Heartbreak Hotel", "Hound Dog", "Don't Be Cruel", "All Shook Up", and "Jailhouse Rock". He was the "King of Rock n Roll" as most would say. Elvis created a whole new look and style from the clothes that he wore to way that he danced.
